Care for the Sick

The Catholic Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as
Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for
physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

At St. John the Baptist, emergency calls are answered immediately, if possible. Communion calls to home-bound and hospitals weekly by request. Families of those who are sick are encouraged to notify the parish office.
