Just imagine….Arriving in the historic city of Sarajevo then taking a scenic ride to the serene town of Medjugorje where you will enjoy the peaceful ambience of the town. The next morning you will ascend to Apparition Hill, where the Blessed Mother appeared to the children.
On the morning of Day 4 your journey will take you to Dubrovnik where you will take a guided walking tour of the enchanting Old City. You will be amazed by the elegant St. Blasius Church, the stunning Gothic and Renaissance architecture of the Rector’s Palace, the Iconic Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, and the historic Sponza Palace. The next day you will sojourn to Split and be fascinated by the ancient streets of the historic inner city as well as Diocletian’s Palace. You will be dazled by remnants of Roman history including the majestic Jupiter’s Temple, the Grand Peristyle, and the stunning Cathedral of St. Dominus. The next day you will leave Split and travel to Plitvice Lakes, known for its cascading waterfalls and vibrant turquioise waters. This is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. After visiting the lakes you will continue to Zagreb to spend the night. The next morning you will start at Kaptol Square and see the Zagreb Cathedral towers with its twin spires. You will experience the charming medieval uptown with its cobblestone streets and picturesque red-tile roofs and St. Mark's Church. The next day you will fly to the wonderful city of Krakow, Poland. As you travel to your hotel, you will be delighted with the charm of this historic destination. Day 9 includes Wawel Cathedral and Castle, Archbishop's Palace, St. Mary's Church, and the Collegium Maius. After a visit to the Shrine of Spirituality inaugurated by Pope John Paul II, you will complete your day of touring at the Wieliczka Salt Mines. The last days of your trip…Today you will embark on a somber journey and visit the grounds of the Auschwitz, formerly a Nazi concentration camp, now a museum. Here you will honor the life of St. Maximillian Kolbe, who volunteered to die in place of another man. You will then proceed to the Divine Mercy Shrine in Łagiewniki which was once home to Saint Faustina. After Mass in the Chapel of Relics, you will return to Krakow for the night. The next morning you will take an excursion to visit the Black Madonna Shrine in Czesochowa. You will be able to explore the stunning chapel and enjoy Mass surrounded by the rich history of the site. In the evening, you will return to Krakow and partake in a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. All journeys must come to an end…after breakfast, you will head to the airport and await your flight home. You can still sign up for the pilgrimage with Father John.
