The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated regularly throughout the year at weekend masses. Parents should call the office early to enroll in our baptismal preparation program. Parents should be registered and actively practicing the faith.

SJB Guidelines for the Sacrament of Baptism
For Parents:
1. Parents have the intention and the responsibility of raising their child in the Catholic Faith.
2. Parents must attend a Baptismal Seminar or have documentation of attending a seminar within the last 5 years. For Godparents:
1. Godparents should be practicing Catholics, at least 16 years old, and confirmed.
2. Catholic Godparents from outside of our Church Parish are asked to provide a letter of verification from their
Church Parish where they are currently registered or where they presently attend Mass.
3. Although our preference is for both Godparents to be Catholic, one may be from another Christian faith as long
as one is a practicing confirmed Catholic.
4. Godparents are encouraged but not required to attend a Baptismal Seminar.
